Start with one movement and one nutrition goal per day. In general, I would recommend starting small and focusing on habits. See what the trends and patterns are and work on improving one thing at a time (adjusting portions, adding fruits/veggies, increasing protein, etc). Track what you eat using an app like MyFitnessPal, taking photos (the app Ate is great for this), or even just keeping a note in your phone. On the nutrition side, there’s lot of ways to approach it. It’s perfect for folks new to weight lifting and is easy to follow. She’s an amazing trainer and provides super helpful tips, cues, and motivation. I HIGHLY recommend Betina Gozo’s 4-week training plan (I think it’s called “kick off” or something like that). It’s free and they do an incredible job of providing holistic training. The Nike Training Club app is an awesome resource for the exercise side of things.
